Revo SuperConnect (Radio with WiFi,Bluetooth easy access your personal data) you stream every radio station in the world!! - With Specifications and Design

Revo SuperConnect
Connects to over 16,000 radio stations via Wi-Fi. It also has 3.5mm, RCA, and aux inputs, plus DLNA, Bluetooth and Spotify Connect. It’s made of walnut, aluminum and steel and has an OLED display and a 15W amplifier.

Ever wish you could take everything that’s awesome about speaker docks, wireless streaming, and personalized Internet radio stations and mash it all together into one easy-to-use device?
Well, you’re in luck – the latest product from Revo is basically just that. The aptly-named SuperConnect is a next-generation audio device that provides radio from around the globe, access to your personal music collection, or a limitless supply of songs from Internet radio.

The device can tap into audio streams from practically anywhere. In addition to traditional radio bands like AM, FM, DAB and DAB+, it can also connect to your home Wi-Fi connection to gain access to over 16,000 radio stations that stream over the web.

You can always connect to your personal music library from a networked computer, or simply stream your tunes via Bluetooth.

And SuperConnect is no slouch in the audio department either. We’ve yet to hear how it sounds for ourselves, but on paper it doesn’t look half bad. Beneath the furniture-grade walnut housing and anodized T6 aluminum grille, SuperConnect sports a single 3.5-inch balanced mode radiator (BMR) speaker driver and a 15W Class-D amplifier. For all you non audio geeks out there, BMR speakers are something of a hybrid between traditional pistonic drivers and flat-panel speakers, and can supposedly produce a broader range of frequencies from a single driver. This allows SuperConnect to pump out big, full-bodied sound despite its relatively small size.

Unfortunately the device doesn’t hit the market until early November, but it is currently available for preorder on Revo’s site for £249.95  (roughly $337 USD).

SuperConnect is the ultimate expression of REVO’s design and engineering philosophy, and the culmination of everything we have learnt in 10 years of award-winning product design and development. Functionalism meets craft and technology, a next-generation audio device that beats at the heart of your musical ecosystem, providing whatever soundtrack you need. Radio from around in the globe, access to your personal music collection or an almost limitless supply of songs from the world’s leading music streaming service.
But the music doesn’t stop there SuperConnect’s ability to communicate with external devices and services is unrivalled.

SuperConnect is crafted using the finest materials and components, its all-wood American Walnut cabinet with anodised aluminium and mild-steel facia and backplate compliment its advanced electronics beautifully. A detailed graphical OLED display and joystick control add a touch of modernity, while patented audio electronics and driver technology deliver 15W of clear digital audio with clarity and deep, rich bass.

Audio and Technology
SuperConnect has a hardware specification to match its impressive feature list. A large secret-until-lit graphical OLED display is paired with an intuitive joystick control, enabling quick and easy navigation around SuperConnect’s many features.

Every aspect of SuperConnect’s design and development has been geared towards its audio performance, from its all wood cabinet through to the advanced audio electronics that lie at its heart. The result is an open sound with clarity, detail and deep rich bass free from coloration and distortion and benefiting from an expansive sound field. This class-leading audio performance is delivered courtesy of a 15W Class-D amplifier and patented BMR (Balanced Mode Radiator) loudspeaker technology.

Design and Construction

Aesthetically, SuperConnect is a balanced blend of modernity and mid-century charm, with a touch of functionalism added for good measure. The outcome is a timeless design with a level of attention to detail that leaves a lasting impression.

A hand-crafted wooden cabinet has been selected for its superb acoustic properties, clad in furniture grade American walnut, no other material provides the deep foundations of great audio performance like wood. The use of high quality anodised T6 aluminium for the front facia and speaker grille, and pressing steel for the radio’s backplate further inject a reassuring tactility and sense of honesty that cannot be achieved with lesser materials.

A World of Choice

SuperConnect is capable of accessing over 16,000 internet radio stations from all over the world, providing an unprecedented choice of radio content. Whether listening to samba from Brazil’s Radio Caraibas, New Orleans Jazz from WWOZ or live sport from New York on WFAN 660. With internet radio there are no subscription charges and no international boundaries. Connect to any Wi-Fi broadband connection to stream both live and ‘Listen Again’ internet radio broadcasts. Stations are listed alphabetically by country or music type, making selection simple.

Spotify Connect Explained

Spotify Connect is a new home audio experience that provides effortless control and enjoyment of your music across a range of devices, from your phone, to your tablet, to your SuperConnect radio. SuperConnect owners with a Spotify Premium account can now enjoy instant access to over 20 million songs from the Spotify archive, all at superior audio sampling rates, simply download the Spotify app for smartphone or tablet.

How It Works You’ve just walked through the door, listening to your favourite playlist on your phone. With Spotify Connect, simply hit play on your SuperConnect radio and the music instantly fires up, right where you left off ensuring you never miss a beat. Now pick up your tablet to keep controlling the music from your sofa, or seamlessly switch the sound to another Spotify Connect enabled product in another room.

The Beat Goes On With Spotify Connect you don’t need to rely on unstable connections to stream music between your devices. You can make calls, play a game, or watch a video you can even take your phone or tablet out of range and the music will just keep playing.

Wireless DLNA Audio Streaming

SuperConnect allows you to enjoy your entire music collection streamed wirelessly from a networked PC or Mac in your home. It supports a variety of audio codecs including WMA, AAC, FLAC, MP3, MP2 and Real Audio. Audio streaming requires a DLNA server or PC/Mac running DLNA certified software.

Audio Engineering

SuperConnect’s exceptional audio performance is thanks to the inclusion of patented Balanced-Mode-Radiator (BMR) loudspeaker technology. BMR drive units combine the performance attributes of a flat panel speaker with the pistonic movement of a conventional loudspeaker, resulting in a high performance compact drive unit that can cover a wider range of frequencies.

The result is 15 watts of high-resolution digital audio from SuperConnect’s Class D amplifier, a smooth frequency response, expansive sound stage and deep, satisfying bass.

Total Control

As is befitting of a product of SuperConnect’s calibre, a full-size, full-feature remote control is supplied as standard. Reassuringly weighty and with a tactility that communicates a sense of quality and durability, the SuperSeries remote control allows the user to easily navigate the radio’s menu system and access the various modes of operation.

Mounza’s App Connects Students To On-Campus Recruiting Events (Android,iPhone)

Sharran Deora said it took a lot of hustle to get his first job out of school.
“I went to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I didn’t have the right connections,” said Deora, who was dreaming of working in banking. He ultimately ended up at Lehman Brothers and then Barclays Capital in product marketing and product management.
But now that he’s back out of the finance industry, he’s looking to solve that old problem of finding the right career connections for future graduates.

He’s launching an app today called Mounza for Android and iOS, that puts together all on-campus recruiting opportunities in one place. He’s starting with Stanford and UC Berkeley through partnerships with about 25 on-campus organizations like the Stanford Technology Ventures Program and the Berkeley EECS (Electrical Engineering & Computer Science) department.
“The career center mayabe only holds 5 percent of recruiting events on-campus,” he said. “The majority is coming from the clubs.”
Students can in-put their own events and subscribe to specific career fields for events in medicine or finance. The number of users in the beta right now is still pretty small at about 3,000 users.

But Deora said that active users are logging in about twice a day and that the company hasn’t done any active marketing.

He says that he’ll be able to expand campus-by-campus by marketing the app through the national parent organizations of different business clubs and fraternities.

As for the business model, Deora said he plans to charge recruiting companies and corporations about $100 a month to get access to the app for posting jobs and hosting events.
